Jake Calvin
Bio
Jake Calvin is a storytelling comedian who first hit the stage in his early 20s in Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio, before taking a decade-long detour into marriage, parenting four kids, and coaching high school wrestling for 15 seasons — because who better to teach teenagers how to take a hit than a man on stage with a mic?
He cannonballed back to the stand-up scene in May 2024, the same way he handles stage fright: like testing cold pool water — don’t think, just jump. Since his debut at Arcade Comedy Theater, he’s been performing across the region, bringing audiences into his world through sharp storytelling, playful physicality, and a delivery that flows seamlessly from bit to bit.
Jake loves witty humor, certified bad dad jokes, and finding the funny in real-life chaos. His comedy is warm, relatable, and just unpredictable enough to keep the crowd leaning in for the next story.

Handsome Man Comedy
Boilerplate
Established in 2025, Handsome Man Comedy was founded by comedian Drew Scibetta, a Pittsburgh local who envisioned a unique space for comics to perform outside of the standard open mic scene. What began as a curated comedy night at Krazy Karen’s in Sharpsburg, developed into a full-fledged production company which proudly features top-notch and diverse stand-up talent, both local and national. With a home at Millvale Food + Energy Hub’s stage, The Purple Onion, Handsome Man Comedy strives to be a positive and inclusive community partner, providing accessible entertainment to the greater Pittsburgh area. Contrary to popular belief, Handsome Man Comedy is not named after Scibetta himself, but rather a gorgeous Maine Coon cat who resides at Krazy Karen’s.
