3-Word Prompt: Who, Where, Went

You are who I want to be

When I want to be less of me.

If I were less certain,

Less concerned with

Standing my ground -

Holding accountable

No one.

You are where I want to be

When I am feeling lonely

When it’s only

My emotions I let speak.

And you keep

Taunting me with

What I thought I wanted.

But I came and went,

With a thick shadow attached to my skin.

And now I live in the ocean,

The sea exfoliating the doom

From my spirit

While you bathe in chaos.
